In the series Life's a Beach in Hawaii I am painting the background colors. I started painting the three smaller pieces while I was building the large 40" x 30" and now am playing "ketchup", catching up the large piece up with the smaller three pieces. With all pieces built I continue to layer thin coats of paint adding depth with each successive layer. There are quite a few layers to go and I am satisfied with the progress.

The pics were taken in Hawaii by my sister Jacquie of her four children. I am unaware of which island or what beach they are from.
