ANTworkstudio Saturday News

Straight from ~ANT:

There's this little buzz around ANTworkstudio. It's not press buzz... that will come. It's an energy buzz! An And Then Some buzz!! Sometimes during my day I will get 'chicken skin'. That crazy, eyes wide open, hair on your arm stands on end, and the surface of your skin is cool... crisp. That is Food Network, 'Rachel Ray style', and in her words, "Yum-O". Bzzzzz... bzzzzz!

Tuesday's Story - October 2, 2007
It's the conclusion of my interview with Ben Konop, Lucas County Commissioner. 'Part 3 of 3' of my interview asks "Are you in charge of the Mayor?" and what his plans are for his political future. We talked of Art Assist and now it's time for some fun stuff!

Austen Portrait
I started a new portrait this week of my ole friend Austen. He is one of my favorite people of all time and could compose music with dazzling skill. I choose to do this portrait because our friendship has fallen on rough times. I have a deep respect for Austen and our friendship. It hasn't been the same without him. The portrait is a tribute to Austen, how much the friendship meant to me, and maybe even help me put this issue to bed.

In the picture I am painting in the background layers of the whole piece. At this stage, I am working what I call my "sunburn" technique as seen with my painting My House. The Austen portrait is using different colors than previous portraits so the "sunburn" doesn't present itself as usual. This is the first 5-7 paint layers of the portrait. I don't have a completion date. I am simply going with what my schedule presents, working when I can.
Thank you Austen for your inspiration. Without you, my journey, this journey would have been impossible!

See you on Tuesday...
Bzzzzz... bzzzzz!
