AIDS Resource Center SRO Masquerage Success!

ANTworkstudio, specifically ~ANT would like to thank the AIDS Resource Center - Toledo (ARC) for such a smashing success of a party... the SRO Masquerage! I was honored to take part through donating artwork and volunteering for the event. I didn't realize how big the event was, how many incredible people would be attending, with so many incredible moments. I've always wanted to meet Ben Konop, Lucas County Commissioner... and I did!! A little woo-hoo! I also had a great conversation with Mario Campos who is running for District 2 - Toledo City Council.

Sat. Sept. 8th 2007 at the SRO Masqurage 350 guests enjoyed live music, great food, and an art auction donated by local artists. In the under-renovation Secor Building downtown I understand that an inspired speech was given by Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner. I didn't hear it... I was in the other room happily making money selling spirits for ARC. This gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of people... Nice!

Being there you could feel the massive potential of this event. I would like to thank Ann O'Halloran, ARC social worker/volunteer, for giving me this opportunity having fun selling drink tickets throughout the night. The artwork I donated, Dissection of the Cutoff, but more so of Burgeoning created a bit of a small stir. Our station was near the art auction and we witnessed my first bidding war on my artwork! For the auction you simply wrote down your name and how much you would be willing to pay. When the auction was complete if your name was last... you won. I had the opportunity to talk to both players in the game and all seemed to have quite a lot of fun with it. I did...

Thank you,
ANTworkstudio and ~ANT
